Alright, its great livig here in Rome, it really is a beautiful city and full of incredible people. The only downside of living here is a lack of a functioning waterheater. So, we havent had the shower for a week. But, we do boil water on our stove to get warm water to take baths/showers.... One thing that is really sweet is the amount of missionaries serving here in Rome. There's 10 Elders and 8 sisters, and 6 others in citys surrounding Rome. So we're in a big zone. Its cool, becasue my companion is the other zone leader and it makes things much easier for planning and getting things organized. The work suprisingly is not doing very good here though. You would thik that in Rome with the temple coming, things would be exploding right now... things will change. Basically, President said to me and my companion that we can do whatever we feel is necessary to to help the missionaries here get things rolling again. I'm stoked, its gunna be a lot of fun.
Probably the highligh of this past week was sunday. As you all know, 2 septembers ago, i arrived in the greatest city ever, TERNI!!! And on sunday, while we were in church, right as sacrament was about to start, i saw a familiar face. It was little Silvia! I probably didnt controll myself as well as i should've, but i was so excited and happy to see her. She's doing good though and her family too. Then, after church ended, we took a train to Terni. The reasoning behind it was becasue there was a baptism that my companion was a part of, and he wanted to go and see it. So, we got to Terni, and it was really sweet seeing everything the same as it was when i left it a year ago. We went to church and we helped get ready for the baptism, and then another huge surprise, Antonella showed up. It was so cool to see her, shes grown so much spiritually and shes doing great. Then it was good to see the members again. It brought back a lot of memories. It was really cool that they all remembered me too. Anyways, it was special.
Then, other than that, not much happened. But, somthing that is asweome is that the temple is in our boundries. Rome is split up into 4 parts, becasue there are 4 wards here, and the temple is in our part. We also have the most missionaries in our ward than any other ward. Its us, the assistants, the sisters, President and Sister Kelly, and 4 office missionaries. Its way diiferent for me, becasue all of my cities up until now have been small and its just been me and my companion, but its way different here. But, its great.
Well, im excited to help get things going, and get this city ready for the temple.
Ciao love you guys
Anziano Lane
