This week was full of miracles. We saw so much great stuff happen. I guess with just an update on everything...
Our 2 golden investigators, Antonio and Alessandro (the father and son) are doing great, we've taught them just about everything and their baptism is only about 3 weeks away now. Christopher, our boy from Nigeria is a stud! He came to church and we had bishop pick him up becuase he cant walk, and he loved it. It was really cool because Charles and his family who were baptized a few weeks ago already knew Christopher from a few years ago, and they have a really good friendship. Then, the greatest miracle happened saturday afternoon, and we saw Pina on the street and i talked with her for a bit, and we set an appointment at church that evening. Then, we had a great lesson and on sunday, we saw each other again, but this time, she brought a girl that she help, who is "not there" in the head, she has a few problems, anyways, at the end of this lesson, this other girl, who's probably about 30, tells me she wants to marry me, and i was shocked, then the member that was with us told her that that wasn't possible, and then she said yes, Giuseppe (the member) you can marry us tomorrow, you can be the priest, i'll invite all of my friends and it will be great. Then the member said, well, why not the other missionary, why dont you want to marry him instead, and she said, well, the other one is more beautiful, and he's blonde (which isn't true, the italians always say my hairs blonde, but, i dont think it is anymore) anyways, i said i cant marry her then she said, fine, but, can i at least kiss you, i had to politely say no, and then we went home. It was a weird evening. So yesterday, we met with Pina again, and we talked about baptism, and we set a baptisimal date for the 27th or August. She's gunna do it this time, and i'm so happy that we got her back. There's only one problem... I'm not gunna see the baptism. President called me saturday evening and he told me that my time in Foggia is up. He told me that i'll be moving to a city in the calabria called Crotone, i'll follow-up train a new missionary and the best thing is my new Zone Leader companion is Anziano Packer!! I'm stoked! He called me the other day, and we talked about the Taranto zone and how we're going to help the missionaries in our zone by sharing what we did in Foggia.
Apparantly Crotone is a tiny branch, with about 10 members, im excited and i'm ready to baptize in Crotone!
It's weird having to leave my home here in Foggia, i've been here for about 7 months now and it hurts knowing that tomorrow i gotta leave all of it behind. I love them members so much and all of my new converts. It's fun to think, when i got to Foggia, we didn't have anything, really no work becasue there was a problem with Anziano Packer's previous companion, but, I really learned the importance or WORK and FAITH. I knew that I wasn't called on my mission to just plant seeds, i knew that in Italy, there would be people ready to accept the gospel of Christ, but, i would need to do my part. And thats what me and Anziano Packer did. We worked out behinds off every day and we saw miracles. We saw a ton of miracles. I'm forever grateful for this blessed city and for the opportunity i've had to serve these wonderful people of Foggia, there will always be a place in my heart for this ugly city that to me is the most beautiful city in Itlay, haha, and i cant wait to get the pictures from Anziano Urry of the baptisms of Pina, Chritopher and Antonio and Alessandro.
Now lets go baptize in Crotone!!
Love you guys,
Anziano Lane
