Hey guys,

Well, ive been here now for about a week. I had a nice trip up here and so far, things have been incredible here! The second day i was here, we had a Christmas party with all of our members, and it was a lot of fun. Our church is really nice and its a nice city overall. But the activity went really well. We had a ton of American food and it was great. I've missed it so much. Then on Saturday we found 2 new investigators who are studs. we were doing house and we found these 2 college kids and they are extreemly interested. Then on sunday we had church and it felt really weird. I've been out of America for so long, but serving here we have half of our members Amreican and it makes things feel a lot like home. That night we went with the Miliatary missionary couple and we ate with them at their house and then we went to the American base and we sang Christmas Carols with the other companionship and the couple. It was sweet. The base is littlerally like "little America" there's averything there, normal American soda and Taco bell and KFC and A&W root beer (which dont exist in italy). Anyways, i got to play some ukulele because the couple have 2 nice ones from Hawaii. Then on Monday, the assistants came down and brought us some furniture, becasue Caserta has only been a 2 missionary city, and now theres 4 of us and the couple. Then on mopnday evening, we ate at an investigator's house and we ate a ton of food that i didn't really like to much, it was still good, but, it had stuff in it that i didnt like. It was a lot of mushrooms and fish. The we had a party for our English class, and i got to dominate in some ping pong and the Reber's (the couple) brought a ton of American food from the base and we got a lot of good contacts. Also in the past few days we've had a ton of pizza, and it's the best in the world here in teh Napoli area, so i cant complain. People just keep buying it for us. Yesterday, we had to do some stuff on the base and we got Taco Bell, and i was in heaven. It was soo good! Then we had another dinner appointment with a really cool american family and we played a Napoli card game with them, then they made our Christmas. They did one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me and my comps here in the mission. As we were leaving, they gave us each presents and a ton of American food. We got so much soda, and they got me diet dr pepper and dt mt dew and a ton of oatmeal cream pies and American chips and oreo's and captain crunch and beef jerky and bbq sauce and i cant remember the rest. But, it was sweet. Then we took off and went home and it filled up our car. IThe members here are awesome, we've only made luch once since i've been here, every day so far we've had at least one meal appointment, and all day i feel so full, but, our members are great here, i love them.

Im loving being in 4 missionaries, its a blast, but, it's a little tougher staying focused. The car is also sweet. It's nice becasue we can go wherever we want whenenver we want and its nice and warm in the freezing cold here, but we cant really find people in it, unless we talk to someone when we're stopped. But it's sweet!

We dont have many investigators yet, but, i'm sure we'll find some. We have one investigator with a baptismal date that we set this past week for the 7th of January, and this guys a champ. He's a cool dude. The base is awesome too, we cant do any procelying on it though, but, we can get whatever we want there. It's huge and very convenient. We live about 15 kilometers from it, but it takes 30 minutes to get there becasue traffic is so bad here at times. We actually technically dont live in Caserta, our adress is:
Via Matteotti #9
San Nicola La Strada
Caserta, 82010
Italia

Thats about it for this week. I've gotta get my president's letter out soon. Love you guys, and i'll call you sunday no earlier than 10,love you guys,

Hey guys,

This week was really good. It was a lot of fun too. On wednesday and thursday we helped make a nativity scene. Its really sweet. We only spent like 2 hours on it, but other members were working on it for a couple of days, and its sweet. Then, we went to teach some new investigators and their baby was sick, so they asked if we could give their little 3 month old baby a blessing, and it was really cool. I've never given a blessing to a baby before, and it was a really nice experience. Then on Saturday, Anziano Packer called me and told me that i was going to be transferred to his old city, Caserta. It's gunna be cool because there's an American military base there and american members. I'm really excited for that. It's a city right next to Napoles, and we're going to be in 4 missionaries. It's weird, Caserta's never had more than 2 misisonaries there since i've been in Italy, but it'll be fun. One thing im not too excited about is we have car, so im gunna get fat! Hopefull we wont need to use it very often.
then, here in Crotone, the work is going very well. In church on Sunday, we had 25 people. The most that i've ever seen here in chruch. It was so sweet! Then i had to say goodbye to everyone, and it was really tough. They're great, and i love them tons. Then on monday, we had district meeting in Cosenza, and we had to leave Crotone at 6:15am, and we got there at 9:15, and we didnt get home until 8pm. It was rediculous. There was no bus or train to take us home, so, we were stcuk there for a while and then we finally got home. Unfortunately, I dont have much more time to write because i gotta go home and pack, so, have a great week, love you guys,

We had a good week here in Crotone. At the end of last week we went to Taranto and Bari for zone conference. It was sweet. President and Sorella Kelly made it more like a Christmas party, but we still did the trainings, and it was a lot of fun. President dressed up as Santa Clause and gave all the missionaries presents, and then we acted out a nativity, and i got the role of a terrorist looking sheperd. The only problem, was we had to go to Taranto Thursday afternoon so i could plan with the other zone leader for our training, then friday we went to Bari, tehn saturday we went back to Crotone. So it took up about 2 days, but, it was worth it. Then, we had a big lunch on Sunday with members from another city in our district, from Cosenza. We ate so much food. Going to a member's house to eat here in Italy sometimes is more stressful than enjoyable, i have to make sure i fast for about 2 days before, so my stomach is completely empty and i can eat 2 plates of lasagna, roast, chicken, potatoes, bread, salad, fruit, some more fruit, peas, 4 glasses of orange fanta, and dessert. (that's literally what we ate, but, i never starve myself before the meal appointents) It's actually awesome getting to eat with the members, but, its tough to eat so much food. Actually, it's said that in the calabria is where you eat better than anywhere else in italy. Then during English class, me and Anziano Ginolfi decided to mess with our students. It was a lot of fun, we took em in circles and they were getting so irritated because we were playing mind games and they never caught on.

Other than that fun stuff, work is going well here in Crotone, we've got 2 people still scheduled to be baptized on Christmas eve and 2 others (Vincenzo and Rosa, his sister) who will probably be baptized the week after.

One thing i've really gained a testimony of, is work. I've found that if you work and just do that, you're going to be happy, and things are more likely going to be better for you. It's kinda funny, during the week when we go out and work, i get tired, but im way more tired if im just sitting around and doing nothing like on a P-day, and it seems like thats the case with most misisonaries that do sit around and slack, they're usually more tired that those who go out and just work. I thinik its because those that work, receive some heavenly help, There's no way i byself could go out all day everyday and do this work, The Lord is playing an important part in it. The scripture in D&C84:88 is true, He will be there to lift you up, as long as you do what he asks. è così semplice!!! it's that simple, just do waht the Lord asks, and he'll bless. I like how it says in D&C, "I the Lord am BOUND when ye do what i say, but when ye do not what i say, you have no promise." The Lord is promising us blessings.

well, i gotta, head off the computer, my comp's gotta use it in a few minutes, love you guys,

Anziano Lane Wrote about the pictures:

the first is of me and the greatest mission president ever and his wife, then we went to beach to chill, then we went to see Mary,
