Alrighty, im in Pescara today for P-day, this place is incredible, its kindof like a san diego, we're right on the beach and its incredible here. Just quickly, the work in Terni right now is incredible im so excited for the work. We have a handful of investigators who really are pretty golden and 2 of them have accepted to be baptised. Its incredible!! We had a great week and new years was awesome, didnt do much out of the ordinary. Then on New years day we had to clean the house all day long. It was a pain, but, all the missionaries had to do it, so, its okay. Saturday is transfer calls and i really hope president lets me stay another transfer in Terni, but, i dont know. I really love it there and the investigators and the members are incredible. I have to get ready to go right now, sorry for the tiny letter, but im gunna go play some football americano on the beach right now with my district. We all met up here for p-day and tomorrow we have our district meeting. Love you all, ciao ciao

I dont have much time left, i got a lot of emails today.

but last week was so much fun, it was great! we had 10 days in a row of eating at a members house. Our members really are incredible here in Terni and they spoiled us to death. On Christmas eve i had the incredible opportunity to skype home and see the family, it was awesome and i got to see everyones face and we got to talk for a little bit of time, then i had to eat some really gross food, it was all sea food, which included octopus and cuddlefish, not to mention, i almost died eating a bone from the Salmon, but, im all good. Then Christmas was awesome!! We got to sleep in until 10:30, because we were able to, it was so nice, then we went to church on the bikes and we watch ed Remember the Titans and it was awesome, i watched it twice. A member brought us some food too, so that was very nice of her. Then on monday we had District meeting up in Laquilla and i bought a sweet Pinochio puppet doll, its awesome! (the disney story "Pinochio" is italian and pinochio litlerally means, liar) he was only 8 euros, im definitely going to buy another one if i have the chance to go up to laquilla again. then on tuesday, we went to a members house and did some service, it was really good work and it was fun getting out of the shirt and tie. unfortunately our investigators were all pretty busy this past weeek so we didnt meet with them much, but we have a really good pool of investigators right now and the work is moving forward.
VIVI ITALIA!!

todays email was the best i've ever gotten. I got a letter from my older brother and he told me something that i've been waiting to hear for a really long time... Marcus is going on a mission!! This is the most incredible decision that he has ever made. He is going to be blessed so much and he's gunna see incredible miracles and lives changed forever. Anyways, im extreemly excited for him....

This wek was pretty cool. first before i forget, i think i'll call home on christmas at about 8 or 9 in the morning your time, about 5 or 6 my time. But yeah, this week was cool. we got 33 refferals this week, it was awesome. Also on Thursday, we had a zone conference with Elder Causse (french) from the 70 and also Elder Donaldson (from wales) and Elder Gessati (italian). It was really cool, i learned so much stuff and it was a really awesome experience. there were 60 missionaries there from the napoli, sardegna, and rome zones. It was packed in the church. But in the middle of the conference, Elder Causse told us to get w our companions and pretend that you're in a park and you see a family together and you go and stop them, so we thought about it and me and anz koozer couldnt really think of anything to say. So, our 2 minutes of thinking was up and Elder Cause said, who want to come up? No one wanted to do it, so, my odds, he picked us... Man, i was so nervous, up in front of all these missionaries and these general atùuthorities, and our mission president. Elder Cause told us to pretend that hew was the family and we needed to try to get a return appointment, so we did it and it went fine, it was pretty good. Then after we talked about what we did that was good and what we coul've done different... So,we were up standing with him for and HOUR talking about this and 4 main things you do when you find.. break the ice, teach a principle, ask a question, then testify. So, he did a quick little demonstation with us and he, this time, acted like the missionary, and wow, it was powerful, a general authority just made it look so easy and simple, and the spirit was everywhere. Then, i thought we were done and we could go sit down after he finished, but he said, okay, your turn again.. do what i did. So we did it and it was really cool. Honestly it was one of the coolest experiences i've had on the mission. It was really like a 1 on1 training with this member of the 70, it was really cool. So, i enjoyed our conference, then onmonday we had our district meeting and Anz koozer brought his worm cheese with him to give to the other misisonaries. (you can only buy it in sardegna, where he just came from, and its illegal becasue if someone has an ulser and they eat it, they will die) Okay, so after District meeting we went back to the apartment in L'aquila, and opened the bag, it was a whole wheel of thew cheese, and i thought that the worms were supposed to be dead, but man i was wrong.. there were like 2000 tiny worms on and in the cheese and they jump and it was crazy. Well, mom doesnt like worms, so, i have to end the story there, but, with 6 missionaries, you can only imagine what went down. FYI, im never going to do it again. Then we did our splits with the DL here in Terni and yesterday was a holiday here in italy, St Lucia, it was really cool because sweden celebrates it too.

As far as the work is concerned, we're moving forward, we have a few investigators that have agreed to baptism so its sweet, unfortunatewly, i most likely wont see them becasue i think im getting transfered this next transfer, but, its all good, as long as they get baptised, thats all that matters. Godstime got sent back to Nigeria so he's not getting baptised and im really upset about that, but, im sure he'll find the gospel iin nigeria. Well, thats about it..

vi voglio bene

okay, im just about out of time, but, i want to let you know how the week went.

it was pretty good, we're working really hard right now and the new companion from Mesa, AZ, Anziano Koozer is a good missionary. We're working really hard and it's been a lot of fun over the past week. we have been doing a lot of workwith the members and less actives lately. I think its sweet. We've gotten 6 referrals this week and thats as many as we've gotten in the past transfer alone. Anyways, yesterday we had a really good day. We went out to visit a member and a less active who livfe out on a mountain about 20 minutes away. We got there and right when we got off the bus we saw an incredible view from the top of this mountain, a few tiny citys of the top of mountains here on the outskirts of Terni. It was really cool. Then the less active we wanted to visit, pulled up behind us in a little tiny vehicle, it was like atruck but a tiny tiny truck, it was funny, you could barely fit 2 people in it and 1 peson sitting in the bed or the truck, so i got to sit outside in the back. He ttok us to the member and we ate there and we got to teach a few lessons to the member's less active 40 year old son and to the guy who picked us up and also to teh meber.. long story short, after the lessons, we ate like kings. wow, it was good stuff. but i felt sick after, these italinas dont know when to stop feeding you. Anyways, we left the house in the afternoon and we missed our bus so we had to walk down the mountain, horrible, like an hour, but on the way we found a less active who lived out in the middle of no where and we talked with them. He was nice to give us a ride down the rest of the mountain. When we got to the bottom, we went and talked to a guy walking his dog and we taught him for about 30 minutes, after we were done he took the book and said, how and where do i buy this book? (its a missionaries dream to hear this question) so, he took the book for free. Then we went out and did some less active work. We found a family and they let us in and we asked for the wife, the husband said she died 2 months ago, and that killed me, i felt horrible. But, it was a great opportunity for us to tell them how powerful God really is and how his presence in their lives will give them comfort at this time in their lives. Unfortunatley the husband was down and he lost his faith, but we will return and we're going to help him find his way back. gotta go really soon, update on joy and godstime, they still want to get baptised, but they missed their train last sunday and didnt come to church, irritated the heck out of me, just come to church and you can get baptised!! (godstime really wants to get baptised, but, hes going to need to wait a little bit longer.

okay, wednesday we didnt get a lot of time to do emails, so we got permission to do it today. wow dad, talk about a complete difference in companions from the last transfer. Okay, yesterday we got to rome at 9 am and i basically just hung out with the missionaries at transfer circles, it was lot of fun, i got to see a few missionaries from the group above me in the MTC. Anyways, it was sweet, we also saw a couple from Eugene, Oregon, their last names were Pratt, so i thought that they could posibly be related to your family, im not too sure. Anyways, this couple is also going to Sweden in a few days to visit family, it was really cool talking wiht them. Then at 12:30, Anziano Koozer showed up and he really is the man! wow dad, talk about someone just like me, loves to work, obedient and he's from mesa, AZ, i got really lucky. He went to Mt View up there, played football, DE. I talked to president kelly a few weeks aago and i told him the problems that i was having with rrokaj, and he told me this next transfer he would give me a really hard working, obedient missionary, and he did. He told me that president said that he wants him to train this next transfer and he wants to move me out somewhere, so, im not sur, but the odds are, i'm leaving Terni this next ransfer in 6 weeks. This transfer is going to fly by, we have a conference next week with Elder Causee from the 70 i think, then 2 weeks after that, christmas, then the next week, new years, the next week transfer calls, and then this transfer is over. Im extreemly excited for this next transfer, we are going to have a sweet 6 weeks.

Yesterday when we got home,my new comp saw the mess that Anz rrokaj left and we cleaned up shop. The house is really nice now. We also did some English class last night and we decided to cancel it since we weren't having much coming out of it. This morning we both got up at 6:30 and exercised and studies and we had a really good companion study. We are going to try to go up to Foligno tonight to meet with godstime and joy. anyways, anz koozer told me something this morning that is going to change my mission. He said, when you go on the buss or do any kind of finding, imagine that the people you see are your family members, like if i see an old guy, imagine him as grandpa or a young lady mom, or a kid, anika, and act accordingly. Thats really cool...

a little bit about last week, okay, remember antonella? she was housing that guy from Turkey that she loves and he really doent care about her at all. so she lets him take his car and do whatever he wants. So, lately we've been tlaking to her about this guy and honestly, we know that he's horrible for her, she needs to be sealed in the temple with a good man, not this guy. anyways, the branch president and her home teachers have advised her to tell him to leave for the past 2 weeks.. she didnt listen. So, guess what happened? on saturday night, he took her car again like he always does ad totaled it, absolutely destroyed. It doesnt exist anymore, she told us. And the guy left to rome and didnt pay for anything. It would be bad it was her car, but its even worse becasue its her brother-in-law's car. Insurance cant pay for it, she's in a big mess. On tuesday she came down to see us and she said that she hasnt heard from him ever since the accident, but as we were walking to the station, the guy was there waiting for her, so, she's not telling us somthing. Whatever it is, its not good, and apparantly she didnt learn her lesson.

also, i sent the memory card out this week and i also sent a paper with it that has a description of all the pics, and i was going to delete some pictures, but i forgot to and so the numbers dont correlate with the pictures on the card. So, if you delete all the pictures with Anz rrokaj, the numbers and descriptions will be correct, if that makes any sense. You'll see when you get it. But you guys can delete the pictures of him, i dont really want them, i just had to take pictures of him becasue he left his camera in his last city.

please tell Dallin thanks for the christmas card he sent me, i got it today.

Love you guys, i'll talk to you all next week

alrighty.

transfer calls came on saturday night, and im staying in Terni! My new companion is coming from the island of Sardegna, as the moment he's a zone leader. Anziano Rrokaj is telling me a bunch of junk about this new companion, but, im sure well do well together. I leave tomorrow at 7 am to rome and i leave Rrokaj at the station and i pick up Anziano Koozer. (Finally an American companion!) This transfer has been strange, overall, it was rough, i think i lost a few years of my life due to stress, haha, jk. But, it was definitely a little rough. We saw 1 baptism, little silvia and that was incredible. We met Godstime and Joy and a few other Nigerians and i feel like they will make that step into the water fairly soon. It was a tough transfer, probably the toughest 7 weeks of my life, a lot of praying, a lot of fasting, a lot of hope and a lot or patience. I have faith that it will pay off this next transfer with Anziano Koozer.

This week was alright, the past few weeks have been really bad and we're working our way back up. Still no new investigators, just those few in Foligno. Honestly, my emotions have really never been tried and tested like this before. Its tough, but if i give up, whats that going to do for me? Its the way that you deal with the highs and the lows that will determine the progress that a person makes. I feel like i'm doing all that i can, and I know that God sees that, and he's going to bless this city very soon.

im sorry, thats a really short entry, not much has happened this week, just a lot of finding work.

Love,

Anziano Landon Lane
