Hey mom, i just wanted to thank you for the prayers that you and the family have done for my investigators, especially Silvia, your prayers have been answered and Silvia will be baptised, miracles everywhere. Prayer is incredibly powerful, ive have so many experiences so far with prayer, a short story, we were at a members house about a month ago and this lady didnt know where eher husband was, he went fishing i think, and she couldnt get ahold of him, she was crying and was really sad, so, she asked us if we could say a prayer for him, so we knelt down together and she asked me to say the prayer, anyways, it was said, and 5 seconds after the prayer ended, her phone rang, it was her husband..
well mom, gotta go, talk to you all next week., Love you

Im extreemely happy right now because Silvia, the 13 year old is getting baptised on sunday, she really means a lot to me becasue shes like my little anika, just a young girl who has the sweetest spirit and wants to be baptised more than enything. Life on the mission is incredible, my companion is a little bit of a pain in the but, but, we're working on our issues, hes really getting a lazy, so im pushing him hard, all the way to the end. We have so much potential here in Terni, I really love this city and the people here, we have incredible investigators, about 5 or 6 who i really think can be baptised soon. I really love these people.

Well, the temple broke ground on saturday, and its already being built, if you havent seen the design yet, you need to, its incredible!! Theres no temple like it, go to youtube or lachiesadigesùcristodeidantidegliultimigiorni.it and check it out, theres a video with a 3-d view of it, i also sent you guys on monday 2 programs from the ceremony theyre sweet. unfortunately missionaries couldnt go, but we watched a re-run on sunday night in rome, its awesome!! but, not gunna be done until 2013..

today was a sweet p-day, we went to the huge waterfall, there was noone there, it was just me and my companion. Its called Cascata della mamone, i think. We had a sweet time, we took pictures at the base of the waterfall and then we hiked up almost to the top, it was steep and we got filthy muddy, but we had a ton of fun, there were a lot of smally rivers and tiny waterfalls that we passed when we climed up. It was incredible, well, i'll send you guys the pictures in a minute.

I love being a missionary, im having the greatest time of my life, and the spirit is awesome, love you all, have a great week,
Love, Anziano Lane

Ciao mom, we're getting really excited for the temple ground breaking, only a few days away. I like my new companion, Anzaino Rrokaj (rock-eye), hes a good missionary, but, by the looks of thihngs, I'll be staying here in Terni for another transfer becasue this is his last, so, i'll be sending home another missionary. But I'll definitely push him to the end. Hes an interesting person, he played on the Albanian National Soccer team, and even though Albania isnt that big, you still have to be pretty good to play on the national team, hes tiny though, really short. So we're looking forward to this new transfer, it ends December 2nd, so we've got a long one. We have a lot of potential thouugh i think, we have a nice pool of investigators/potential investigators and we're going to really tear it up i hope. And we have our english course/class starting up this week and we're hoping to hve a ton of sucess with that, maybe get some new investigators (thats the only point of it). Its getting cold here and the suit coat has come out finally, and soon i'll need the jacket, its going to be a cold winter, but the members say that it doesnt snow donw here, usually, so i hope its a dry christmas for me in terni. We have a baptisimal date with little Silvia for the 30th of October, her mom is really irritating me, and i just want her to let her daughter get baptised, we're doing our best with her, so we'll see if it works out. Thats about all the new stuff, i'll get back on in about 4 hours to check email again, becasue Anz Rrokaj needs to do some applications for school, love you all,
Anz Lane

Hey mom, dad, anika, emily , and dallin, well, it turns out that i actually get a p-day today, so its nice i get to relax and clean up the apartment for the new companion. Just to let you know, if i ever dont write to you guys on a wednesday, dont worry, it will be becasue im really busy, so just dont worry if theres ever a wednesday when i dont write, but i'll always try.

I have been eating all the candy that you guys sent me and the pictures are great, and the little stress balls and rings are going to be great for the little kids at halloween, so thanks a ton for all that stuff. I sent your package out on monday, it just has some shirts from rome and another picture card and a few other things.

You guys are the best, thank you for all that you do, you're incredible.

Well, last week like i told you all on monday, was one of the best weeks of my life.. it started on Thursday.. We were up in Rome for the zone conference and president kelly announced that the Temple ground breaking would be October 23rd, so that was incredible, so the profet is coming! unfortunately, i dont think i can go, i think its only for the mission presidents in italy, branch and stake presidents and their families. But the temple is coming!! Also on thursday, i stayed in rome to do splits with one of the Zone leaders while Anz wood went back with the other zl and did an interview w/ Marghereta, she passed, also, issac was at the church, and his mom said that she didnt want him to be baptised, and he didnt want to go against her, but, he was miraculously convinced by the spirit that he should be baptised, so saturday and sunday were great days.. they were baptised and confirmed members of the church and received the holy ghost..

Then monday came around, and we met with silvia and her mom, silvia and her mom agreed to let silvia get baptised on wednesday. Then tuesday came, one of the worst days of the mission... Barbara (silvias mom) called us and said that silvia couldnt get baptised, it was not the right time. The thing that made me so upset, was on sunday night, me and anz wood both received inspiration from the holy ghost that she needed to be baptised on wednesday, well, that whole day we were dealing with that family and it just didnt work out, so, barbara that night met with our branch president and he told her that silvia needed to be baptised (Silvia knows the church is true, and she wants to be baptised, her mom, a recent convert, isnt sure though) So, they agreed that in a few weeks she could be baptised, so im excited for that day.

The mission work here in Terni is incredible, im excited for this next transfer (7 weeks) it is going to be incredible, i'll send you some pictures in a few minues of the baptisms, they were incredible!!

Love you all, have a safe travel home!

I had a really cool week this week. We have 3 scheduledbaptisms for saturday, unfortunately it looks like only 1 or 2 might fall through.. this computer is notverygood, the space bar doesnt work too well, so sorry about that. Yesterday we had the worst weather day yet. It was pouring rain all day, so we basically got all out rain stuff on, it was easyfor me because ive got the huge trench coat, and that keptmepretty dry. And we basicallyknocked on doors all morning until our appointments. Our pool of investigators is pretty good, but as far as commitments, they're not doing too well. Isaac, the guy from Ghana is suposed to be baptised on saturday, but he doesnt want to hurt his moms feelings, so he called her again yesterday and she said noagain, hes 25, so he just needs to do whats best for him. We're meeting with himagain tonight and hopefully we'll be able to get some things straight.

Today i had an absolutely incredible p-day... we finally went to Rome. It was incredible we got to do a lot of stuff. We went to the big Moussoulini building and we went to the collosseum and to the spanish steps, also to one reallycool huge fountain and to the hardrock and the vatican, and the pope was talking today so we got to see him. I got a lotof good pics today so i'll send the picture card and the shirts i got you tomoroow hopefully ifi can get to the post office. So today was sweet and the shirts i hopeyou like, i got1 for everybody, youcan all just decide who gets what.

Okay, also, This will be mylastweek with this companion, he goeshome next friday, this transfer is only 5 weeks because president kelly has a important training in germany in a couple of weeks, so normally transfers are 6 weeks. the package that you sent me is here inTerni, i got a notice on my door yesterday and today that the post tried todeliver it, but i wasnt there, so they'll try again tomorrow and then if im not home i need to go to the post office and get it.

well, missionary work is irritating but rewarding. Its irritating because you see theses people that know the churchis true and they just dont want to commit. But when they do commit, its incredible to see their lives change.

I cant begin to tell you how sick i am at eating at members houses. Dont get me wrong, the food is great, but it takes too long, its like a 2 or 3 hour process, so, im going to work on that with my future companion, to either make less eating appointments, or make the way shorter.

Overall, i love it here, the weather is nice now and im getting used to everything, this work isd great, im excited for Terni, and i hope by the time i leave the stake announces that they will receive a ward, almost there. I love this life,

Love you all, good luck with everything, work school,
ctr always!! Love,

Alright my time is short, but i'll give you as much info as i can about this week. First off, we got "bidone'd" a lot ("trash canned", the word we say when we have an appointment and the person either doesnt show or they cancel at the last miunute) So, it wsa tough dealing with that, but, it happens and i just need to keep loving the people. Our investigators are great, i love em all, and we got our first referral since ive been in italy, and this lady has a bap date on oct 9th, her husband also know that church is true, but he smokes and drinks and after we get that handled, he should be baptised as well, they also have a son who is 13, he know the church is true as well, he will most likely be baptised a well, we also have our investigarors Issac for Ghana and Silvia (13 years old but her mom is concerned with her being baptised). So, we have work to do, but we have God on our side, and He will bless us and his Italian Children. This place is "Rocking"! Italy is going to turn into a Brazil very soon, baptisms are happening and lives are changing. Referrals are something that really help the missionaries, and i know you would help me out her in italy if you could, but, your thousands of miles away, so, help the missionaries in your ward, please give them referrals. They will thank you.

Well, honestly, i cant say much else, God's showing us miracles every day, all the time, and its amazing, Friday, we go to Perugia to teach some less actives, gotta go, Love you all

Wow, i cant believe how tough that was, thats bad! I hope that you and everyone else gets healed up quickly, but thats quite an accomplishment, probably close or even passing the 1/2 marathon. Well, its cool you did it and its definitely something that you can brag about, something that barely anyone ever does, so congrats and hopefully you heal up pretty quick. Also, Today, we didnt go to Rome because we had an appointment with an ivestigator who we think is golden, shes 25 from Cuba, obviously she hasnt had any religeous background because cuba is all for communism and its all messed up. So, we think she'll get baptised in a month. Also, we have 2 baptisimal dates for the 9th of october hopefully we'll have 3 though. 1 of the 2 scheduled for that day, he's from ghana and his mom who is still in ghana still doesnt want hime to get baptised, so he needs to make a decision, its tough, he doesnt want to go against her, but he needs to do this and his life will be changed forever.
Okay, so since we're dindt go to rome today, we're going next wendesday, and i'll get some presents for dallin and anika there, i feel bad its going to be late, but i needed to be here for these investigators, i'll try to get something small tonight for them, i have a lesson so it'll try to find something for them, Dad, Mom, Anika, Emily, and Dallin, i love you all, you are the greatest, i am so grateful for all of you and your lives and the examples you are to me, please do me a favor... Pray for my investigators and their families so they will be able to commit to that ordinance that will change their lives forever, please do this for me, i need to see them baptised, because i love them, and they need the baptism becasue they need to change their lives, we'll im incredibly excited for the future of the church here in italia, its incredible, gotta write to Marcus now, Love you all,
Anziano Lane
yeah, so italy is a cool place, honestly, it resembles mexico a lot. Sweden is definitley where you would want to live, but its great here, i know this is where im supposed to be. And anika, dallin and emily thank you for your letters and prayers, i loved them, its good to hear from all of you, and mom and dad, thanks for your letters. I have to write a ltter to my president now, so i should go, i'll try to send you a postcard thoiugh today so you can see how cool terni is. This work is awesome though, i love it. my branch has 63 active members and you need 80 to make it a ward, i know its a lofty goal, but i want terni to have a ward by the time i get transferred, and who knows when that will be. well, i love you all, and please dont woory about sending packages, the mission president said only about 90 percent actually get delivered, but if you want to, go ahead, and you can send it to my appartment. Well, i love you so much thanks for your prayers.
