Continue....... Then on Tuesday, we went down to Napoli for some exchanges. We first went to Caserta and we had to give a ride to Anziano Ginolfi and his companion to a city called Salerno for visa stuff. Then we went to Battipaglia to drop some stuff off for the missionaries there and then we went to Pozzuoli to do an exchange. It went really well, me and the missionary i did the exchange with went to a city full of Africans, it was sweet. We taught some really good lessons and ate African food.. not too yummy. Then we went back to pozzuoli and had Napoli pizza. That evening we went over to Napoli to sleep there. Then in the morning, it was our preparation day and my companion wanted to do a lot of shopping because Napoli is the place to do it with the mafia and blackmarket stuff, its way cheap. We hung out there for a little bit, then we drove back up to Rome. On Thursday we had to go back to the "fire house" and clean dome more up, and we had a lesson with Edward, and he expressed a lot of doubts about his baptism, only in the sense that he doesnt want to go inactive after, and he fears that because he's african and he has such a tough situation here in Italy, that it's very possible of happening. But, we talked a little bit, and bore a lot of testimony and he felt better about it. Then yesterday we saw him again and we confirmed everything for the baptism. It'll be on sunday before church at 8:30 in the morning. We put it early like that so a member who has been his only fellowshipper could baptize him. Also the past few days we've been meeting with President Kelly because he's been working on transfers. So we've talked a lot about the transfers and as of right now, President feels good about what hes decided, but, right now we're waiting for him to come in to finalize it all, then this afternoon we're going to make the transfer calls to all of the missionaries, and because today is President and Sorella Kelly's anniversary, we're going to do most of the calls. Next week is going to be very busy with transfers and getting everything organized, but, its going to be great. Im excited for my new companion, he's a baller, and im ready to get my last transfer underway. Big transfer #16. Love you guys!!! Anziano Lane

hey guys, its bright and early sunday morning here in Rome. And we just had a really sweet week... So there was really nothing too out of the ordinary, we taught a few lessons and moved a family from one side of Rome to the other. My companion went to Sicily for a zone conference, so i got to stay up here and i got a lot of work done. On wednesday we went with some of the people who are working on the temple and we played soccer with them, that was a lot of fun. On Thursday, i dont remember at the moment what we did exactly, and on Friday we had the idea to go to the Rome Open, a tennis tournament, and we were really excited because that day, Federer was playing and also Nadal and venus Williams was playing Maria Sharapova. But, when we got there, those matches were all sold out, so, we only got to see the doubles matches, it was still a lot of fun, we got to see the american mens doubles...they lost, then the italian women won, and there was also a Swede that we got to see and he won his match. We got a little sunburned, but, nothing that's going to keep up down. (the only day i dont wear sunscreen and i get burned). Then yesterday we went out to see Edward and we taught him a lesson with one of his friends, he's the man!! his baptism is probably going to be next week, we need to see how today plays out, then we'll know for sure. Church is about to start, so i gotta go, but, love you guys, have a great week!! Anziano Lane

Hey fam, Another good and busy week here in rome. I guess to start out, a few weeks go we were told by the area presidency that every member who has been baptized within the past 3 years needed to be contacted and have a lesson. So, every companionship in the mission was told to do so, and on Monday, when we called for numbers, we took all of that information as well, so we were on the phones from 7am to 2pm just getting all of that info. But, here in Italy, our retention rate is pretty incredible in comparison to the rest of the world with our new converts. We have jsut about 50% of our new converts still active. Myabe it doesnt seem like much, but its huge! Anyways, tuesday we had a lot on our plates as well. We had da new couple arrive from America, so, me and President Kelly went out to the airport to pick them up and then we went back to the missionhome to get their stuff organized and we had lunch together. then on wednesday, we were more busy. In the morning, we took the new senior couple to their new appartment and then we had our next task of the day... move 3 sets of mssionaries to 3 different houses here in Rome. Luckily it didnt take too much time. so, we got all of that taken care of, and after that we went to Caserta. It was sweet, i got to see my boy Anziano Ginolfi, and he's doing great as always, and we had Napoli pizza, mama mia che buona!!! then Thursday morning, we drove off to Bari for their zone conference. It was awesome, the missionaries down there are awesome and we had a great conference. We ran really late unfortunately, so we ended up staying at Caserta that night too. Then on Friday, we got back home to Rome and continued were we left off with our investigators and what not. Pietro is doing great, we had his interview for his baptism today during the second hour of church and he's so ready to get baptized. His big day is going to be this saturday. A little off topic, when we were teaching him a few days ago, one of the managers, a member serving a mission at the temple site, showed us how detailed the process is of building a templel. He showed us this huge book thats probably 2 feet by 3 feet and its gotta be about 1000 pages long of all of the designs, and the funny thing is that that was not the only book of its designs. Then yesterday, we had our preparation day and we went to a place called Tivoli, still part of rome, but its way cool, it has tons of incredible water fountains. I got a lot of good pictures, but, unfortunately i forgot my camera at home today so i cant upload the pics obviously.well, things are going well here. We have the zone conferences in Rome and Sardegna this next week, so im excited about that, well, i love you guys, have a great week! Anziano Lane
