Last week i said that we were going to have a baptism with a lady named Antonella, born and raised in Italy, so shes italian. As the week went on, Satan threw incredible problems at her that really tested her faith, on Wednesday of last week, she called us crying saying she couldnt be baptised, reason being, is that a man in Germany asked her to marry him that day, so, we met with her and her concern was the law of chastity, she wasnt sure weather she would be able to keep it or not. So we went and met her that night and gave her a blessing, she was fine, then on thursday, she had a huge fine on her car, and then she wrecked her car and just terrible things, then on thursday night, she had her interview for baptism and she passed. On Saturday, the day of her baptism, we got a call at 5;45am, she was crying again, satan got to her and my companion talked to her for about an hour and then all was well. Saturday night, she was baptised into the Church or Jesus Christ. It was incredible! On Sunday, she received the Holy Ghost.

Other miracles from this week include praying for new investigators, one experinece: me and my comp went out trackting, and we decided to take a route we normally dont, and a lady came from behind and she wants to talk about our religeon, apparantly, se met with the missionaries a few years back and wants to meet w/ us again. Another example of miracles include prayer, i have a strong testimony that God listens to us always, and he wants to talk with us, all we need to do is shut our mouth, open our ears and open our hearts. So, the example is this: we were at a members house on sunday night for dinner, her husband is not a member and he was out of town, Sorella (sister) Petrolini was worried about her husband becasue he didnt pick up his phone, so she asked if we could pray, we did, we got on our knees, and she asked if i could pray... 3 seconds after i closed, the phone rang... it was her husband. God lives, he hears our prayers and he wants to help us. By the way, the food she made was incredible, quite possible one of the best meals i've ever had. In italy, every meal has 4 courses. The first is pasta, second is meat, third is dessert, and fouth is fruit... I got a huge serving of pasta so i was full after pasta, then she piled lamb meat on my plate so i finished that then she put more on the plate, it was rediculous, well, i found a way to throw it all down, then desert and grapes, i came out of that house almost 5 pounds heavier, it was crazy, but good.

And obviously today is P-day, but my companion ran out of money so we cant go anywhere, which is fine, but next week we'll go to Rome and probably go to the colloseum, hard rock cafe, vatican, who knows. But p-days really are tough for me, becasue i just want to go and teach our investigators but i cant, we're not supposed to. We have 2 investigators really close to baptism, and 3 others who are progressing, so we've got some work to do. One of the best things members can do for the missionaries is give out referrals, becasue we are struggling with them right now, referrals make finding so much easier. we'll the church is true, its incredible, i'm so excited to continue on, and the weather's better now so that always makes things better. Gotta go, God bless,
Love, Anziano Lane

Who ever said you cannot baptise in Italy! I was called by my Father in heaven to labor in the area of Terni for my first transfer. How i've been blessed to work with such incredible people, my first baptism will be held on Saturday. One of our investigators was progressing very well and on sunday she'll be confirmed a member of God's true church. We'll i love my mission president and his wife, they're awesome. The day i got here i went to San Paolo, a huge church here in roma and it was incredible, nothing like the temple though. Then we had the opportunity to go see a baptism from 2 of the 4 sets or missionaries in roma. Then, the next day i had my interview with president kelly and he called my to the area of Terni (the furthest north area in my mission) it also covers the city of Perugia, and i love it, its a great place, it has the biggest waterfall in all or europe, pretty cool fact, but even better, the people here are ready to receive the word of God in it's restored form. My appartment is big, 4 bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom, and its only me and my companion in the appartment. its nice, i look kind've official with the bike now. My companion is a good misisonary, hes real serious about the work and hes bold, and hes from england. Well, i could go on and on about this stuff, but what really matters and why im really here is for the people. Our ivestigators are incredible, we have 4 that are super close to taht life changing covenant. Antonella, who lives in Perugia, will be baptised into God's church on Saturday. She is golden, so ready for the gospel, she actually came to us, we didnt need to find her, and she know that the church is true. I've already had so many awesome experiences and i've only been here for one week, one of these experiences involved an apostle of God...
on Saturday, we got a call from the zone learders saying that Elder Ballard, Elder Rasband, and Bishop Etcheley would be coming to Rome for the day to work on something, fortunately, since im in the Rome Zone, i got to attend his council with the other 20 missionaries in my zone. He, along with elder Rasband, bishop etcheley and elder cose spoke to us and then later that night we heard from then again as they spoke to the members in rome, it was really cool!
The language surprisingly is descent, and i can understand quite a bit. I know the Lord will bless me as long as i work hard. There are a few things that helping my fulfill my purpose..
I'm forgetting myself, im loving the people, im being obedient, and im giving it my all..
I love the italians, i love my family, i love my God, in whom i boast and give all credit to in everything i do.
It is hot here, mama mia! But i love it! This is the life, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone you love receiving a testimony of their own that La Chiesa Di Gesù Cristo Dei Santi Degli Ultimi Giorni is true.
May God bless you,
Love Anziano Lane

MTC, Provo Utah July 7th-September 7th, 2010

Good Morning! I know we started Landon's blog last week, But I don't feel that its quite the right beginning until we add some important information starting a few months back, at the MTC.

Landon got his Mission call Thursday Febuary 4th, 2010, We were gathering in our living room, My husband and I, Landon and his older brother Marcus. His 3 younger siblings were at School, well we thought he wanted to wait for them, but he was just so excited and wanted to open it right away, and so he did, he was going to serve in Italy Catania Mission he was to report on June 16th, What a great day, He was so happy, and we were all so happy for him.

It was a long wait for him, I think he wanted to leave right away, he was so ready to go, but the mission was making some changes, he continued to work and then he got notified from our Stake President, and he got a another letter said that his mission was going be combining with the Italy Rome Mission and part of the the Milan Mission and he was going to serve in the Italy Rome Mission. Landon was to reporting to MTC on July 7th.

He than decided to go to Sweden for a month and renew his passport and be with Family and Friends.

Landon's dad Eric had purchased our tickets to Sweden before Landon's mission report day had changed, and the tickets were non refundable, Emily, Dallin and Anika ( Landon's three Youngers Siblings) and myself traveled to sweden on June 24th, that was a week before he was suppose to have leave, but it worked out perfect really, Landon had his Farewell May 30th, with all his Family over here, than he left for Sweden and we met up with him when we arrived Mid summer, and we had 5 very wonderful days with him before he return back home.
The night before he left he asked me if I wanted a blessing from him, I did, and he gave me the most wonderful Mothers blessing and it conforted me so much, we had a little Family gathering in my Parents home down stairs, where each one of us shared things about Landon that meant so much to us. The Incredible young man that he is, that example to all of us, how much we love him. I love him more than words could ever say, he is and has always been so very close to perfect.

Landon returned to the States on July 1st, spent a weekend in California with His Dad and older brother Marcus, then back to Tucson Arizona for a couple of days.

July 7th, 2010 he report to the Mission training Center in Provo.

Anziano Lane wrote some incredible strong letters to us while at Mtc, He was the district leader day one, and he loved being at MTC loved all the missionary's he served with the branch president and everyone he was in contact with.
His letter he sent us were very powerful, inspiring letters, makes me want to do better, he is such example to us. He wrote about Mtc and he loved being there. I love his loving and inspiring letters, and always look forward to Tuesdays when he will write to us and than send us a letter that usally arrives on Fridays. His letters are always so uplifting.

He wrote to my friend Camilla who so long ago introduced me to the Gospel, I shared my conversion story and how grateful I'm for the Elders that taught me the Gospel 23 years ago and he has expressed how grateful he is for them to help bring his mom to the gospel.
Anziano Lane had allot of wonderful opportunity's at the mission training center, he got to give wonderful talks and got to help the new missionary's that came in and serve in many different areas.

He wrote about one of the most incredible speakers he ever had the privilege of hearing Elder Jeffrey Holland, He was in an incredible seat, first row of the bleaches, about 30 feet away from this man. Elder Anziano wrote this "As he walked in, I couldn't keep my eyes clear, the spirit was incredible, I was shocked to see him there with us it was awesome! well you could imagine, my hand got very sore, I wrote the entire time. I want to go to Italy and start preaching, this talk got me pumped! it lasted for 1 hour and 1/2, it was awesome, I love that he is so bold, he gets to the point, sorry my hand writing, it was rushed, now im so excited, its so cool. I really imagined Jesus walking in, even through he is not Jesus, but he is as close your can get. other than the Prophet. As you read this talk, read it with boldness, it's so powerful, it was incredible! well, I got to do some planning right know, enjoy love you all." He went on to say at the end of his letter.

"Im sure every night before satan goes to bed, he looks under his bed and see if Elder Holland is there. Ha Ha"

Anziano Lane Arrives in Italy

Landon Arrived in Italy and met his new Mission President and his new companion. His first area is Terni Italy which is pretty much in the central location of Italy. His companion is from the greatest mission in the world (England) Elder Wood I am a little biased since the England London mission was my mission. Elder Wood is the one with only Landon. The other picture is of Landon and his MTC companion when they arrived with His Mission President and Wife.
