Awesome week in Caserta. December 28th, 2011

this week was great. Last Thursday we found 2 new investigators and we'll hopefully see them tonight, and then Friday was way tight too. We did a ton of work and we got to teach a few lessons. then I had one of the most memorable Christmas Eve's ever. It was awesome. We had a party during the evening with the Reber's (the senior couple) and with a member family and another southern baptist american family. Both the member and the baptist dude are Chaplains in the Navy and We got to share a lot of cool experiences. We had an American Christmas dinner (which is way better than Italian Christmas dinner becuase i hate sea food and its tradition here to eat seafood for Eve and Christmas) Anyways, we ate and then we had a stroy time where each of us shared an experience of a Christmas that meant a lot to them in the past. It wsa really spiritual, and then i remembered the testimony meeting that we do every year as a family on the Eve and shared my gratitude for the 2 families and the Reber's for their military service and also to my companions for all they do. And then everyone else did it as well, and it was sweet. Then one of the members pulled out Luke 2 and read as we all listened. It was a really special experience. then Christmas was great, we had church at 9 for an hour, then we went to the Reber's house and played risk. it took up like 3 hours for just 1 game, then me and my comp went over to the Larson's house to do skype and it was sweet seeing the fam again. And then we went back home, and because President Kelly didnt want us to watch movies on Sunday, he gave us Monday to watch 2 movies, and we got to watch them at an American member's house on his big screen and we got to see Cool Runnings which is one of my favorites and Dispicable Me, which i've never seen before, but its hilarious, i was laughin through the whole thing. It was great. that day we also had an appointment with one of our investigators and we set a baptismal date with her for Feb 1st. Then yesterday was sweet, we did a lot of In-active work and it went well. Today we went to Napoli to get Armani suits. Unfortunately i didnt like the ones that they had, so, i got a different mark and its nice, i only payed 42 euro for it. And its a legit Italian suit, kinda like the one i got in Crotone, but that ones grey and this one's black pinstripe. Then we went to the base and ate Taco Bell. One thing blows, a few minutes ago we got a call from one of our investigators who has a date to be baptized in 2 weeks, and he said he doenst want to see us again, so that was upsetting, but, we'll do what we can, im sure that we'll be able to work something out. The adversary ticks me right off sometimes. This investigator was doing so good and he was so excited to be baptized. We'll do what we can for him. And now, we're still on the base doing email, and we're just about to leave. Love you guys,
Anziano Lane
