Hey fam,
Another good and busy week here in rome.
I guess to start out, a few weeks go we were told by the area presidency that every member who has been baptized within the past 3 years needed to be contacted and have a lesson. So, every companionship in the mission was told to do so, and on Monday, when we called for numbers, we took all of that information as well, so we were on the phones from 7am to 2pm just getting all of that info. But, here in Italy, our retention rate is pretty incredible in comparison to the rest of the world with our new converts. We have jsut about 50% of our new converts still active. Myabe it doesnt seem like much, but its huge! Anyways, tuesday we had a lot on our plates as well. We had da new couple arrive from America, so, me and President Kelly went out to the airport to pick them up and then we went back to the missionhome to get their stuff organized and we had lunch together. then on wednesday, we were more busy. In the morning, we took the new senior couple to their new appartment and then we had our next task of the day... move 3 sets of mssionaries to 3 different houses here in Rome. Luckily it didnt take too much time. so, we got all of that taken care of, and after that we went to Caserta. It was sweet, i got to see my boy Anziano Ginolfi, and he's doing great as always, and we had Napoli pizza, mama mia che buona!!! then Thursday morning, we drove off to Bari for their zone conference. It was awesome, the missionaries down there are awesome and we had a great conference. We ran really late unfortunately, so we ended up staying at Caserta that night too. Then on Friday, we got back home to Rome and continued were we left off with our investigators and what not. Pietro is doing great, we had his interview for his baptism today during the second hour of church and he's so ready to get baptized. His big day is going to be this saturday.
A little off topic, when we were teaching him a few days ago, one of the managers, a member serving a mission at the temple site, showed us how detailed the process is of building a templel. He showed us this huge book thats probably 2 feet by 3 feet and its gotta be about 1000 pages long of all of the designs, and the funny thing is that that was not the only book of its designs. Then yesterday, we had our preparation day and we went to a place called Tivoli, still part of rome, but its way cool, it has tons of incredible water fountains. I got a lot of good pictures, but, unfortunately i forgot my camera at home today so i cant upload the pics obviously.well, things are going well here. We have the zone conferences in Rome and Sardegna this next week, so im excited about that, well, i love you guys, have a great week!
